Marquese Martin-Hayes, an inspiration architect, author, and distance runner, will run a fifty mile trail race on Saturday, October 25th, 2008 near Madison, WI, in an effort to raise $50,000 for the Chicago-based charity choice of 2008.
Hayes’ concept for the ultra-marathon is “Autism 50,” a fundraising initiative to raise $50,000 by running fifty miles in one day. Funds raised from the Autism 50 will go towards autism research and development and a leased facility for the charity to offer continued support and programming for families in the Chicagoland area.
In addition to running the fifty mile ultra marathon, Hayes will donate $5 for every copy of his book MondayAgain?! sold during September and October. Select “theBook” on the sidebar of your screen to find out more and purchase a copy of MondayAgain?!.
Hayes will continue to raise funds for Autism organizations with varying charities each year.
